Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 2 team, working for approximately 20 hours a week. This would be spread over three days per week, days and times to be discussed, for September 2021.

Optional additional hours working as a part of our wrap-around care team are available.

Working closely with the classroom teacher or line manager, you will provide support and assist teachers in the development and education of the children in our school. We see our teachings assistants as a key part of the team in the classrooms, who can have an enormous impact on teaching and learning. You will be a part of the planning as well as delivery of the lessons and will be expected to contribute to the ongoing assessment of pupil progress. Alongside these key tasks, you will also be required to undertake a range of teaching and non-teaching tasks related to classroom activities and provide basic supervision and care skills.

An ability to teach Games would be an additional asset for candidates, although is not essential.
