Full Time

The States of Guernsey are looking to appoint, with effect from 1 September 2024, a dynamic teacher with the experience to lead and take responsibility for the work of the Key Stage 2 phase and to make a full contribution to the ethos, identity and life of the school.

The person appointed will be employed by the States of Guernsey and will be based at Vale Primary School. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a school that enjoys a co-operative and mutually respectful staff team with children at the centre of everything we do. At Vale we Value All Learners Equally.

The Key Stage 2 Team Leader, as well as having a class responsibility, will play a key strategic role in the continued success of the school. This will be achieved through the use of highly effective leadership, management and organisational skills, in collaboration with all staff members, and close working relationship with the Senior Leadership Team and their Key Stage 2 Phase Team in particular.

The post holder needs to know when to lead, when to follow, when to intervene, when to support and when to challenge. They need to be very aware of the different personalities of the individuals in their immediate phase team, and the wider school staff, in order to ensure the improvements in the school are mutually successful.
