Key Stage 3, IGCSE & IB FRENCH TEACHER

A dynamic and vibrant French teacher is required for January 2017 or sooner if applicants are available. This post provides an exciting opportunity for a highly driven and creative teacher. (Non-IB teachers, including NQT’s, will be trained and are encouraged to apply.)

The successful candidate will receive a 2-year renewable contract, medical cover, membership of the school pension scheme, accommodation and a competitive salary.

About Braeburn Garden Estate School

Braeburn Garden Estate Secondary School is an educational establishment for boys and girls aged between 13 and 18 years old. It is based in Mobil Plaza, Nairobi, in the Republic of Kenya. It is a secondary, mainstream school, with a sixth form. The school teaches students the British Curriculum. The students are able to achieve the International Baccalaureate Diploma from attending the school.  The children come from more than 80 different countries across the world. Some of the students currently live on the premises as boarders. The pupils are also prepared to sit the IGCSE and A-level examinations. All of the exams the children can sit are recognised by the university of Cambridge.

Braeburn Garden Estate Secondary School believes the students are the main priority, above all else. They should take responsibilities for their actions and become active members of the local and global community. The students should set their own goals and targets. They are taught to be self-confident, caring and kind adults. The academic successes of the students are celebrated by everyone at the establishment. The children are encouraged to take part in clubs and activities outside of school hours. These clubs include arts and crafts, board games, tennis, African arts, chess, astronomy, swimming, debating, ballet, cricket and football. The hope is for the children to develop culturally, physically, emotionally, morally and academically. Teachers at the school have specialist knowledge of the subjects being taught and nurture the children.
