Vision for Education are urgently recruiting on behalf of an alternative provision in Newcastle that caters for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. The successful applicant will be working with Key Stage 3 students, delivering mainly core subjects. Because of the nature of the students and the difficulties they've faced, they will be working at a lower level than their age befits. The key requirement therefore, is someone who is able to motivate and engage students that have became disillusioned with education. The job will begin ASAP for the right person and continue until July 2020.

Ideally, candidates will be experienced in working with challenging behaviour, as well as being able to quickly adapt and integrate into the school's culture and ethos.  Applications would be welcomed from NQT’s and experienced teachers looking to move into SEN. The school is looking for someone with a positive and calming influence in what can often be a difficult environment.  Personality is paramount in being able to empathise and connect with students and overcome their various barriers to learning.

In reward for your hard work, Vision for Education will provide:

  • Wages paid directly into your bank account every week via PAYE
  • Regular training courses such as Team Teach, Moving & Handling, Autism Awareness to continue your individual professional development – all free of charge
  • Free of charge access to over 20 accredited online training courses via EduCare
  • Dedicated team that work with our staff to place them in schools and locations that suit their needs
  • Full compliance with AWR (Agency Worker Regulations) to make sure you get paid what you deserve
  • £50 reward every time you recommend a colleague and they successfully work their first day
  • Regular social events with 100% complimentary food and drink
  • We are an agency that won't charge your school or provision a fee should they wish to offer you a permanent contract; we won't stand in the way of your career

Vision for Education are dedicated to Safeguarding and all applicants are required to have undertaken an Enhanced Disclosure by the DBS, full assistance provided.
