Key Stage 4 Coordinator Mathematics (MPS + TLR 2B)

Required for April 2020 or September 2020  

The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and forward thinking teacher of Mathematics to  join our school community and lead on the coordination of key stage 4 Mathematics within our very successful Mathematics department. The successful candidate will:

• Be committed to improving the life chances of all students and hold a belief that all students are capable of achieving.  

• Have excellent subject knowledge in mathematics 

• Be passionate about Mathematics 

• Have a proven track record of teaching Mathematics at key stage 4

• Be able to lead others in developing and implementing the key stage 4 curriculum in Mathematics

• Be able to work closely with colleagues to secure the best outcomes for all pupils

The successful candidate will have ideally taught Mathematics to all abilities at both Key Stages 3 and 4. The ability to teach Mathematics at Key Stage 5 would be an advantage but not essential. Training and support will be given to a well qualified candidate who wishes to take up the opportunity of teaching AS/A2 level Mathematics.  The successful candidate does not necessarily have to a Catholic but will need to be supportive of the school ethos.

Our most recent Ofsted report grades the school as Good with Post 16 provision being Outstanding.
