Key Stage Leader - Maths

January 2022 Start (TLR 2b - £4783 - negotiable for an outstanding candidate)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic, motivated and able Maths – Key Stage Leader to join our Maths department. We are looking for an excellent practitioner to work collaboratively with the Subject Leader to develop the wider Maths curriculum, raising academic achievement and ensuring all pupils make outstanding progress in all areas.

The successful candidate will be:

 Able to inspire pupils of all abilities within Maths to achieve their highest potential in their relevant Key Stage.

 Committed to delivering consistently outstanding teaching and ability to share your practice with others in a constructive and collaborative manner.

 Contribute to the strategic development of the department by implementing new initiatives, and monitoring and reporting on key outcomes at the relevant Key Stage.

 Responsible and be accountable for pupil attainment and achievement, by tracking pupil progress and supporting individual pupils’ learning needs at the relevant Key Stage.

The Key Stage allocated to the successful candidate will be determined based upon their experience and knowledge.

The Academy recently became part of Castleford Academy Trust.  Over the last year, the Academy has been on a substantial improvement journey, the result of which is significant improvements in behaviour, leadership, and the quality of education.  The Academy were recently visited by Ofsted as part of a monitoring visit the outcome of which was overwhelming positive regarding the direction of travel for the Academy.  We would be delighted if potential applicants came to see the Academy in action.
