Permanent (with initial 11 month probation)
St George Madrid is a fast growing, but young school within the St George´s group and is located in a prime educational zone to the North of the capital. The school has merged its secondary and primary campuses onto a single site this summer, with new purpose built facilities for the secondary school. The school has seen significant growth in recent years, with potential for more and this position has arisen due to the expanding school roll.
The successful candidate will be an experienced and enthusiastic key stage one practitioner. As part of a thriving primary team, the successful candidate would be expected to assist and take on responsibilities in the development of the key stage one programme we offer. There is also the opportunity for a coordinator’s position to lead the key stage one team for the right candidate. A commitment to educating the whole child, emphasis on high levels of pastoral care and an inclusive approach to education will be of the utmost importance as we make the final appointment. As our students come to us from a range of different backgrounds and with varying needs, an interest in raising attainment across all ability levels is very important. Candidates will also need to demonstrate evidence of being a strong team player as well as the ability to adapt quickly to new situations, with a flexible approach to problem solving. With the merging of the two sections of the school on a single campus, there will undoubtedly be challenges in the initial set-up phase. We follow an adapted English National Curriculum across the primary and secondary schools.
If you are committed to child centred education, with a deep rooted desire to help every child reach their potential and are interested in helping shape the future development of an international school we would be delighted to hear from you.
