A member of the Qatar Foundation group of schools, Qatar Academy Msheireb is an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme candidate school offering a dual-language program in English and Arabic.  In its fourth year of operation, QAM caters for students from 3 – 11 years of age, and has a current role of 370 students with a potential capacity of 559 students.

We are seeking an experienced Kindergarten teacher to commence in January 2018. The ideal candidate should have experience with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme or inquiry based teaching and learning.

We welcome applications from the UK independent and state sector as well as from those working internationally. 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education-related field or relevant subject matter area
  • 2-5 years of teaching experience at the relevant grade level and/or in the relevant subject area; Primary Years Programme experience an advantage
  • Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language
  • A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children
  • Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills in English
  • Strong organization, planning, and time management skills
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely in English
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with curriculum management and learning management applications

Salary and Benefits

Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
