Kitchen Assistant

We are looking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our busy and friendly school kitchen team.

This is a term-time only position, ideal for someone looking for regular hours that fit around family life.

Hours: 20 hours per week
Working pattern: Monday to Friday (10am - 2.00pm)

The Role

Working as part of our kitchen team, you will help ensure pupils receive nutritious, well-presented meals in a safe and welcoming environment. Duties will include:

• Assisting with food preparation and service

• Setting up and clearing the dining area

• Washing up and maintaining kitchen cleanliness

• Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures

• Supporting the catering team during busy service periods

The Ideal Candidate

• Is hardworking, punctual, and a good team player

• Has a positive attitude and enjoys working with others

• Experience in a catering or food service role is desirable but not essential

• An understanding of food hygiene is helpful (training can be provided)

• Enjoys working in a school environment
