At Aurora Cedars School, we're looking for a reliable and proactive Kitchen Assistant to support the preparation and delivery of nutritious meals for our students.

A healthy, enjoyable meal is a big part of a student's day. In this role, you'll help ensure that every meal is prepared safely, served efficiently, and enjoyed in a clean and welcoming environment - supporting the wellbeing of our students.
What you'll be doing
As part of our kitchen team, you will:
๐ฝ๏ธ Assist with preparing and serving meals to the required standards
๐ฅ Support food preparation and cooking for daily lunch service
๐งผ Maintain excellent hygiene and cleanliness across the kitchen and work areas
๐ฆ Help with ordering, deliveries, and stock management when needed
โ ๏ธ Follow all food safety, allergen, and health & safety regulations
๐ง Carry out routine checks and report any issues or concerns
๐ Support occasional school events or special functions
You'll play a key role in ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

What you'll need
Experience working in a catering or kitchen environment (school or similar preferred)
Basic food preparation skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment
Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety regulations
Good communication skills and ability to work with colleagues
Level 2 Food Hygiene (or willingness to complete training)
