We know teachers are in demand so

Why Choose Us?

Ours is a friendly school where we focus on developing the whole child, not just assessing them. Our enthusiastic pupils are engaging and have outstanding behaviour. We have great links with our local community and strong support from parents and the Governing Body. This may be why places are in demand!

As an Academy we are building upon our creative curriculum, allowing teachers to keep and develop topic areas that inspire children and staff alike.

We have a very friendly and supportive team and each class has a Learning Support Assistant for the whole day? We have regular staff training and opportunities to share best practice and strongly believe that offering CPD and curriculum leadership opportunities are essential to develop our staff. Alongside this, the staff well being team organise regular social events.

We are looking for someone to join our team to further develop the school’s ethos where all - pupils and staff – are provided the opportunity to flourish.

The school is committed to safeguarding and protecting children. The post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check. We are an equal opportunities employer.

Ofsted

We are delighted to have received OFSTED’s feedback which confirms that ‘this school continues to be Good’ and that it ‘has maintained the good quality of education.’

We were particularly pleased that OFSTED recognised that ‘St Nicolas’ School strives to encourage all to flourish as unique individuals.’

Ofsted was clear in articulating that ‘the school’s focus on the well-being of every child is palpable’ and ‘the work that is being carried out to support pupils to believe they can achieve is successfully helping pupils to have positive attitudes to learning.’ ‘Pupils enjoy coming to school.’

We are very happy that Ofsted reported that ‘the overwhelming majority of parents are happy with the education, pastoral care and support for their children.’
