This is a fixed term post (maternity cover until January 2024) post-full time, 32.5 hours per week.

About our Academy

We are a small rural primary school on the edge of Hogsthorpe village, around 7 miles outside of Skegness. Everything we do is based on educating our children’s hearts and minds. 

Hogsthorpe Primary Academy provides a continuous learning journey from children from four to eleven years old. As a result of our high expectations and strong curriculum, our children make at least good progress from their starting points and achieve well. Our key stage 2 results are well above national standards. 

We deliver a knowledge rich curriculum, which is underpinned by important skills learnt in English and maths.  We make learning interesting and fun, and our children enjoy school.

Who we are looking for 

 Experience of teaching in KS1

Demonstrable evidence of high standards of class teaching

Practical understanding of effective teaching and evaluation strategies

Awareness of current developments in Education and the implications of these

Understanding of effective assessment and target setting procedures

 Understanding of inclusion and personalised learning

 Recent experience of an OFSTED Inspection and its follow up

An understanding of good inclusive education

Understanding/experience of using programmes such as RWI, Talk 4 Writing
