We are looking for a passionate KS1 class teacher to deliver high quality lessons while successfully nurturing and inspiring our students. As part of our energetic and welcoming team, you will enthuse and motivate students to strive for success while maintaining a healthy learning environment for all children within the school.


About Kilnwood Vale Primary School

Kilnwood Vale Primary School is a brand new school in it's first year based in Horsham. The state of the art school facilities at the heart of the new Kilnwood Development is growing it's team and is looking for people to join them on their exciting journey.


What we are looking for

  • A detailed knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and its means of delivery
  • Experience or training placements in primary or an Early Years setting
  • A highly caring and patient approach to cultivating our youngest people
  • The ability to motivate both students and your peers
  • Experience innovating to deliver the curriculum


You must:

  • Be able to develop positive relationships with young children.
  • Be able to develop an understanding of the educational, welfare and social needs of the child with whom you are supporting.
  • Be able to stay calm and objective when presented with unusual or challenging behaviour.
  • Be enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team.
  • Be a confident and clear communicator with parents.

Thank you for expressing an interest in Kilnwood Vale Primary, I am honoured to lead our small and growing team of talented staff and wonderful children since opening.

We are a brand new two form entry primary school which opened its doors to reception and nursery children for the first time in September 2019. Each year the school will increase its age range, adding an additional year group until it is an all through primary school in 2026.

We are proud of our school and the amazing facilities, inside and outside the classroom that will allow us to deliver our exciting and enriching curriculum.

We are happy to be a Free School within GLF Schools Multi Academy Trust, which sees us benefit from sharing outstanding resources, facilities and support from local primary and secondary schools since October 2010. We also believe in working closely with the local community to ensure school is a place where 'children grow, learn and flourish'.
