We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, well qualified teacher, with experience of teaching KS1 to join our Ghars International School team. You will be part of a team of experienced and dedicated teachers, being home room Teacher to a Grade 1 or grade 2 Class.

GIS is a well-established school where high-quality lessons based on the British Curriculum are taught, while also including an international flavour incorporating the interests and needs of our multi-cultural community.

 As a Form Teacher, you will be required to teach most areas of the curriculum to your own class, working in collaboration with your year group colleagues and your head of phase.

You must be able to demonstrate a passion for enthusing bright children to achieve their full potential whilst also evidencing a commitment to your own professional development.

We require a team player with excellent communication skills. We are open to a range of specialisms and there will be an opportunity to develop your skills and experiences throughout our CPD programme.

Willingness to contribute to the overall life of the school is essential as is the running of an afterschool co-curricular club.

Successful applicants must have:  

·       A certified teaching qualification, such as B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent (the PGCE must be accompanied by a subject relevant Bachelor’s Degree).   

·       Exceptional subject knowledge, with extensive experience of teaching the British National Curriculum in Key 1
