Job overview

We are looking for an inspirational, experienced KS1/KS2 Primary Teacher, holding QTS or equivalent, to join Harris Garrard Academy.

Your opportunity

We can be flexible with regard to year group within EYFS, KS1 or KS2, and TLRs will be available for the right candidates. We are looking for people with the ability to deliver creative lessons that children enjoy and feel motivated by, and who can support us in our journey towards Outstanding. We are transforming an academy and community as we work towards outstanding performance in all areas. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional to join our team of committed staff who share a common sense of purpose and high expectations of what students can achieve. Our dedicated team provides a supportive network both onsite as well as support across the Federation to ensure all our staff feel encouraged to do their best. Join a community of dedicated, friendly staff standing by and upholding its mission:

"At the heart of this success is an absolute belief in the ability of every student to shine – no matter what their background, ability or character. We combine the traditional values of discipline, respect and good behaviour with contemporary best practice in teaching, learning and technology."

As a member of staff, we pride ourselves on ensuring you feel supported in your role and encourage your personal development within the federation. We can offer you the opportunity to advance your career within a supportive academy environment. You will be part of a Federation established in developing practitioners and nurturing excellent future leaders, with unrivalled opportunities for progression; whatever your aspirations as a teacher, middle or senior leader, our Teaching School Alliance provides a range of bespoke courses and qualifications, including our Aspiring Leaders NPQML and NPQSL programmes to help you achieve your ambitions more quickly.

What we are looking for:

We look for talented individuals who want to be a part of transforming education in London, and helping create exceptional places of learning. Harris Garrard Academy is seeking to appoint inspirational and talented staff. We have high expectations where outstanding teaching and the wellbeing of all pupils and staff are at the heart of our improvement planning, our pedagogy and practice. We welcome applications from practitioners who will:

Model and disseminate high quality teaching pedagogy and practice to secure consistently good or outstanding teaching and learning for our children;

Be committed to on-going professional development;

Contribute to the wider life at the academy;

Maintain a dynamic and inspiring learning environment;

Be innovative, highly motivated and eager to take a lead;

Have good interpersonal skills and are able to work well as part of our team.

Social mobility has always been a core mission of the Harris Federation, which is why we have continuously set out to transform standards in schools that had, in some cases, failed for generations before joining us. We are committed to ensuring that every child in London has access to the best possible education in order to nurture their individual potential.  Join us in creating spaces of learning where children everywhere are nurtured for their potential and given the tools necessary to shape their own future.

We look for motivated support staff who are committed to helping us transform lives and who will share our belief that every child has the potential to do well.
