Job overview

EXPLORERS WANTED

Actually, we’re looking for teachers who share the same personal attributes as our namesake, the great Norwegian explorer, Scientist and humanitarian, Fridtjof Nansen.

If you are determined in your pursuit of excellence and have a passion for making a difference, we want to meet you. You may be experienced or be an NQT. We’re talking to teachers of all subjects and phases. Above all you’ll be brave and up for facing an incredible challenge, a bit like Fridtjof was.

Nansen is a large primary school in Birmingham with over 900 pupils. You need to meet our children and walk the corridors with us to understand that this is a unique place, a great place, “a vibrant school community” – confirmed by Ofsted in March 2016!

The successful candidates will have the following competences:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Evidence of and commitment to continue professional development.
  • Successful school teaching experience across the age ranges.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver stimulating and engaging lessons, which make effective use of cross-curricular links and teach children how to learn.
  • Access and record the progress of pupils’ learning to inform next steps and monitor progress.
  • Successfully deploy a wide range of effective behaviour strategies.

Salary will be MPS

So, come with us. For JD and application pack refer to the school’s website on http://www.nansenprimaryschool.co.uk/ or email recruitment@core-education.co.uk for an application pack. Completed applications should be sent to this email.

Closing date for applications is 3.8.16 by midday.

Nansen is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment, therefore, you will be required to disclose details of all cautions, convictions, bind over orders and warnings even if they are spent, except for those listed as protected cautions and convictions. If you fail to make any relevant disclosure or have included false or misleading information therein, you will be liable for dismissal.
