Phoenix Arch School is an over-subscribed community SEN school with a strong and supportive staff team. All 55 pupils attending the school have a diagnosis of ASD. We are situated close to the North Circular Road in Neasden in the London Borough of Brent with good bus service. The school’s learning environment has been developed to meet the needs of pupils, resulting in exceptional learning facilities and well-matched quality resources, therefore pupils have every opportunity to thrive. Our School currently has different pathways of learning, which includes the National Curriculum at age appropriate expectations, mainstream teachers interested in transferring to special education are advised to apply.

 

The post:

We are looking for a dynamic and creative Class Teacher to join our dedicated and enthusiastic staff, teach in a class with up to 10 pupils with a high level of adult support. The successful candidate will be committed to sharing in the planned, development and success of our school. You will have demonstrated that you can lead a subject area with high expectations for success. We have a well-established Leadership Team and Literacy, including reading is a strength of the school.  You will be joining a staff team who are committed to providing an inclusive education for all. In return, we will support your continuing professional development and you will work in a friendly, warm environment where children are at the heart of our school community. You will work closely with Therapists to develop your practice and make a real difference in pupil’s outcomes. We offer generous non-contact time and PPA.

 

We are looking for someone who:

·        Has passion for teaching to ensure our pupils are receiving quality education and care

·        Had high standards in teaching and learning and can support others

·        Proven good / outstanding classroom practice

·        Experience of leading a subject, inspire, engage and motivate our pupils

·        Is committed to whole school development

·        Clear understanding of how learning is sequenced and adapted to ensure pupils can access quality first teaching
