KS1 Teacher (Temporary Basis).

Tes is currently supporting a friendly and supportive primary academy, based in Doncaster. The school is looking to add a Key Stage 1 Teacher on a full-time temporary basis to its progressive and supportive primary school ideally starting ASAP.

The role will include teaching and coordinating the delivery of KS1 including class teaching and intervention. You will support the Head of Primary to enhance provision and will get the chance to get involved with exciting project work throughout the year. Project work will include revising schemes of work and ensuring the curriculum is engaging to all learners alongside projects that support student attainment, well-being and engagement within the wider school. You’ll also lead by example, supporting learners to achieve to the best of their ability and you’ll enjoy that great feeling when your learners achieve grades beyond their dreams.

"At this Primary School, we are on a journey of consistent improvement and are currently ranked in the top 2% of primary schools for the teaching of Maths during 2019. Our Ofsted grading is ‘Good’ in all areas (February 2019). 

Our 222 children, aged between 3 and 11, come from the village itself or travel in (many by school bus) from other neighbouring villages. We pride ourselves on our hard-working staff, our supportive AAB and our delightful children. Our school was first built in 1877 and we have been striving to improve the education we provide ever since! Visitors to our school frequently comment on the lovely family-like atmosphere. The academy is a busy and vibrant place. We pride ourselves on knowing our children well and doing our best to ensure everyone fulfils their potential."

The school is offering:

• A super supportive and highly visible SLT team and Headteacher;

• on-going CPD with programmes of study such as NPQML and MA in Educational Leadership

• progression support throughout the school and wider group

• support package for NQT’s/EQT’s including CPD and NQT mentorship;

• the chance to take on further responsibility such as TLR or Leadership roles in the future.

The school expects:

• A UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT, BEd or MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• a relevant Education Degree or a related subject

• experience in delivering KS1, successfully engaging learners to progress

• a love and passion for education.
