About Cumnor House Girls' School
Cumnor House School for Girls is an independent preparatory school in Purley, near Croydon in Surrey, for girls aged 4-11. The school was originally part of The Lodge, a co-educational school in Purley. The Cognita group took over management of the school in 2010 and it reopened under its present name in 2011.
Since taking over the school, Cognita has completely refurbished the teaching accommodation and provided a new science laboratory and food technology room. Investment has also been made in new ICT equipment.

Teachers strive to develop self-esteem in each pupil, while emphasising individual talents in a wide range of fields, including academic subjects, music, sport, art and drama.
