Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join our team of passionate educators. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages the social, emotional, and academic development of our learners.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities that align with the KS1 curriculum at St. John’s.

Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment where each child can thrive.

Foster social and emotional development through effective classroom management and communication.

Monitor and assess students' progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary to meet individual needs.

Collaborate with other KS1 educators to plan and organise school events, trips, and special projects.

Maintain open and proactive communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's development.

Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required.

Uphold the school's values and code of conduct, serving as a positive role model for students.

Qualifications

Appropriate teaching certification.

Previous experience teaching in Year 1 is highly desirable.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
