We now have a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding Teacher with to join Medway Green School. If you are looking to join a growing, motivated and highly dedicated team in a challenging and rewarding environment, we would love to hear from you!

Our KS2/KS3 classes will be taught following a Primary model where they will mostly have one class base and one teacher. The successful candidate will be able to teach across the KS2/KS3 curriculum. We are a growing provision and therefore roles will inevitably change as we grow and take in older children.

Differentiation and individualised learning strategies are vital skills required to meet the needs of all our pupils who will have had varying degrees of success in their educational lives. Our aim is to change young people’s expectations and we will always provide our pupils with the best possible opportunities to succeed beyond Medway Green School. You will be enthusiastic, able to work effectively as part of a team and dedicated to making a difference to improving the lives of the young people that we support.

Who are we looking for?

Just as important as academic achievement is the social & emotional development of our pupils. We want our pupils to be successful citizens and positively contribute to their local communities, it will therefore be imperative to provide opportunities to advance these skills. Along with this, the use of personalised curriculums and positive reinforcement will underpin your everyday practice.

This can be a challenging environment and therefore, determination and resilience are key characteristics for the post. We are seeking an experienced teacher with an ability to interact with and motivate students diagnosed with SEMH and ASC, allowing the successful candidate to immediately form positive relationships and adapt to the needs of the pupils. We invest heavily in teacher development and want staff who endeavour to achieve more. We often find that candidates who have succeeded in mainstream settings and are looking for a new challenge make excellent SEN teachers. Therefore, applications are welcome from teachers with special needs or mainstream backgrounds.

Located in the village of Wouldham in Kent, our site has recently benefited from significant development, with our traditional Victorian school house and modern classroom block having been refurbished to the highest specifications. Everything about our school – from the high quality design of our environment to the professionalism and passion of our team – is about putting the needs of our students first and giving them the very best start in life.

Each child is different so we offer a variety of learning environments, from modern, high specification classrooms through to spaces dedicated to one-to-one interaction, specially designed therapy spaces, and sensory areas that can help students feel calm and safe.

Our superb indoor facilities are complemented by plenty of outdoor space, giving our students the opportunity to learn, discover and explore in the open air. Outdoor learning opportunities form part of our curriculum, and our school enables them to take place in spaces designed specifically for this purpose.
