Hungerford Primary School and Children's Centre is a mixed, community primary school for children aged 3-11, located in Islington, London. The school has a pupil roll of over 400 and outreaches to parents of pre-school children, offering provision for babies as well as three year olds. Ethnic diversity is a strong feature of Hungerford Primary School and School’s Centre with its children speaking some 30 different languages at home.
The main building of the school, originally called Hungerford Road School, was built in 1896. Developments over nearly a century culminated in 1995 with the amalgamation of the infant and junior schools and the creation of a new school – Hungerford Primary School.
Recent co-location with The Bridge School has given the school an impressive outside provision.
