Job Description:

As a Key Stage 2 Teacher at The English Academy, you will be responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum to pupils aged 7–11 years. The role requires a teacher who can challenge learners, promote critical thinking, and prepare pupils for the transition to secondary education.

You will plan and deliver well-structured lessons, use assessment effectively to inform teaching, and support pupils in developing strong literacy and numeracy skills. The role also includes preparing pupils for internal assessments, maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement, and contributing to the wider life of the school.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field (minimum requirement)

  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2

  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum, particularly in English and Mathematics

  • Ability to deliver engaging, structured lessons with clear learning outcomes

  • Experience in assessment, data tracking and supporting pupil progress

  • Strong classroom management skills with high expectations for behaviour

  • Confident communication skills when working with pupils, parents and colleagues

  • Competence in integrating technology to support learning
