MPR/UPR

Required September 2022

Are you looking for a new challenge? Do you want to work with some of the best children in the universe and help make a real difference to their lives? Are you an experienced and talented teacher, looking for a change? If so we could have just the roles you are looking for.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for Carlton Junior Academy (“an unquestionably good school” – Ofsted 2016). We are the lead school of the growing primary hub of the Redhill Academy Trust and also a member of the Redhill College of Leadership & Development. Redhill is one of only two new Teaching School Hubs in Nottinghamshire.

We can offer you well behaved, happy, hardworking children; a supportive staff team; a welcoming and inclusive school community; modern classrooms and school hall; extensive outside area and a real commitment to supporting your CPD, whatever your career stage. As part of The Redhill Academy Trust we offer: a wide range of CPD opportunities, enabling you to continue to develop your practice and maximise your potential; the opportunity to progress to one of the National Professional Qualifications fully funded by the school; the opportunity to work across the trust, engaging in collaborative projects and to achieve your career ambitions, through progression within Carlton Juniors or across the trust.

We are a school where:

• Children’s enjoyment of learning is at the heart of every school day.

• It matters that every child reaches their potential and achieves beyond expectation.

• The children are motivated, happy and well behaved.

• There is a strong team ethos.

We are seeking:

• An experienced teacher who wishes to broaden their experience or an ECT at the start of their career.

• Good and outstanding teaching which ensures that every child makes progress and with a real passion for high quality education that has fun and enjoyment at its core.

• Conscientious staff who are committed to high standards and continued improvement.

• Someone with the ability to nurture as well as teach.

• The ability to develop good relationships with our parents.

• Real enthusiasm for teamwork and collaboration.

• High standards (for both yourself and the children).

• A ‘can do’ attitude.

• The ability to create an excellent learning environment.

• Someone who can demonstrate a real commitment to our school.

• The ability to maintain that all important sense of humour!

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed. Please phone to arrange a convenient time.

The school is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all the people in our school, as such all candidates will be asked to demonstrate an understanding of safeguarding children and complete an enhanced DBS check prior to appointment.

Electronic application forms and further details are available from the school office.  (Tel: 0115 9110402 or email: office@carltonjunior.org.uk).

Closing date: 12pm Friday, 17th June 2022.

Interviews to be arranged as soon as possible after the closing date.
