Dear Parents and Carers,

We are delighted to welcome you to Maple Court Academy. It is our passion to give our children the very best opportunity to be successful and to recognise the talents of everyone.

Our Academy is a happy and exciting place to be with lots of opportunities. The children are at the heart of everything that we do and the values in our Academy reflect this. We believe that all children have the right to learn in a safe, stimulating and caring environment that is supportive of learning and the development of the whole child.

Every member of staff in our academy is fully committed to ensuring that all children work hard, are well supported, make good progress across the curriculum and develop a core sense of morality.

Since our Ofsted inspection in June 2021, we have continued on an exciting journey to fulfil our purpose of ‘Encouraging and nurturing the aspirations of all pupils to achieve their dreams’, in all areas of the Academy life. We continue to make improvements, and our expectations are exceptionally high. Our universal aim is that all of our children are happy and successful learners and that their experiences at Maple Court have a positive impact on the rest of their lives.

We tailor our learning experiences to meet the needs of the children and always strive to make learning interesting and fun. Staff pride themselves on getting to know their children and consider their interests and ideas so that they are inspired and motivated to learn. At the heart of learning in our Academy are our MAPLE values, Moral, Adaptable, Proud, Leaners, Enthusiastic; we believe that these are all values that are vital to a successful individual.

There are many opportunities in the Academy for the children as we truly believe that children’s development should not just be limited to English and Maths. We continually work hard to further develop our broad and balanced curriculum, and children have excellent opportunities in foundation subjects. We offer enrichment opportunities through our extra-curricular programme and the many Academy visits that we offer. Life skills and confidence continue to grow through our student character development, raising aspiration and ambition by opening up the world to our students.

Another important part of our Academy, and your child’s learning journey, is you, the parent!

We champion the link between the Academy and parents and work very hard to involve you in every step of your child’s time here, thus further increasing your child’s enjoyment of learning.

Visitors to our Academy are most welcome, and we strongly recommend that if you are thinking about sending your child to Maple Court Academy, you come and look at our Academy in action. We hope that you enjoy looking at our website and look forward to meeting you soon.
