Job overview
We are seeking to appoint an exceptional and dynamic teacher to join our Middle School team. The successful candidate will be primarily based in Year 5, teaching a range of subjects; including the core curriculum. The ability to teach across other age groups would be advantageous.
The Beacon is a large prep school of 540 boys aged between 4 and 13. It has superb facilities and resources that support a forward-looking educational environment. The Beacon has led and developed the Prep School Baccalaureate, which allows much freedom to Heads of Department in the development of a curriculum that seeks to instill and develop independent learning.
The post is available from January 2018 and we welcome applications for employment to start at this point or, if notice so restricts, to start at a later juncture.

About The Beacon
The Beacon is an independent day school for boys aged 3 to 13, near Amersham in Buckinghamshire, which is only 30 minutes by train from London. We prepare boys for secondary education through a broad curriculum that offers both richness and diversity of opportunity.
