Horbury Primary Academy is committed to the Equalities Act 2010 and also to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people, by adhering to the “Keeping Children Safe in Education” guidance. All staff and volunteers are regularly trained regarding our expectations in keeping our students safe. An enhanced DBS is required for every post.

The successful candidate will be an individual who is committed to the highest level of teaching and learning. They will be an outstanding teacher with a clear understanding of how to raise standards. We are a school with a friendly staff and lovely children and we encourage all staff members to play an active role in the wider part of the school.

Horbury Primary Academy is a mixed nursery, infant and junior academy, situated on the outskirts of Wakefield.

The academy has a broad, balanced and creative curriculum which aims to ensure that children are engaged in their learning and above all enjoy coming to school. It benefits from enthusiastic, caring and professional staff who work hard to ensure this happens.

The academy works with determination to help every child to achieve their potential, with a lifelong love of learning, offering pupils, not only new skills, knowledge and understanding, but also key learning attributes that will enable them to succeed as they begin their path in life.

It understands that partnership is an important aspect to the ongoing development of schools and academies and, with this in mind, it works alongside Ossett Academy & Accord Sixth Form, Horbury Academy and Middlestown Primary Academy as part of the Accord Multi Academy Trust.
