The role

As a History/geography teacher in a middle school or high school, your will have to impart knowledge to pupils. You will use lesson plans, individual instructions, classroom presentations and group projects to provide your students with an understanding of the fundamental concepts of the subjects. You also administer tests, grade assignments and determine students' grades at the end of each semester.

As a History/Geography teacher, your job might also be to provide one-on-one instruction for students who are struggling with the geography material. You might help to bring the subject to life through creative class projects and individualized attention.

To stay updated with the latest developments in History/Geography education and participates in professional development activities, such as workshops, conferences, or training sessions. Continuously enhance their own knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality subjects education.

Our educational unit is located in the northern part of Bucharest, in the Băneasa area. The objective of the school is to provide an in-depth learning experience that develops students' capabilities as active players in a changing, global world. We have kept so far the Romanian curriculum and we are considered one of the best schools in Bucharest according to our grades outcomes and international activites. Our educational program run in partnership with various cultural institutions include participation in Olympiads, school clubs , workshops and extracurricular activities like : House Games Competition, Assemblies, Special Days, English week, Science Week, etc.


  • Our New Campus

Liceul Teoretic Scoala Mea has just established a new campus with state-of-the-art in design and capacities, including six laboratories and any kind of facilities, exclusively dedicated to Y7-Y13 range studies in the northern area of Bucharest, thus constituting the only educational hub that offers the opportunity to access national and international education programs. The school just built new campus will meet the high standards of Liceul Teoretic Scoala Mea and will be aligned with the LTSM mission applied to our international curriculum.

 

·       What we require from you:

● Provide instruction that is of superior quality, captivating, meticulously organized, and differentiated, with an emphasis on Assessment for Learning.

● Be able to adapt teaching methods to support and drive the progress of pupils whose first language may not be English.

● Ensure that student data about attendance, behavior, and participation in extended and enrichment activities is collected, collated, and deployed effectively

● Ensure that student data about progress, attainment and achievement is used effectively to improve student outcomes

● To undertake the role of form tutor for students in a given form group

● Keep records of students’ attendance, classwork, and homework

● Be responsible for the room(s) in which he or she teaches with regard to appearance and display, and for resources and equipment as appropriate

● Sharing in the school’s work in curriculum development with regard to courses of study, teaching materials and methodologies used

● Take an active part in school meetings.

● Undertake additional administrative duties, if needed, as directed by the Head of International School

● Make a contribution to the formulation and implementation of the departmental curriculum.

● Engage in collaborative efforts with colleagues.

 ●Be a reflective practitioner with a keen interest in your own personal and professional development and an enthusiasm for participating in CPD and peer learning opportunities.

 Our selection process

The nature and responsibilities of the vacant position will dictate the selection process; nevertheless, applications will be accepted for all openings. Short-listed candidates will be interviewed initially by a member of the management staff (our CEO and/or head of school and whoever considered as necessary); if required, a second interview will be conducted with a panel of staff, which may include an additional member of the SLT and/or the Head of Department/ Head of School, to further evaluate the candidates.
