Outwood Alternative Provision Eston places students at the centre of everything it does, with a focus on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning and increased student attainment, achievement and social and emotional development.
We are an inclusive, and caring centre recently judged ‘good’ by Ofsted. At our heart, we aim to ensure we best meet the needs of our students. Our centre supports the most vulnerable students including those who have SEND and are disadvantaged. Many of our students experience significant barriers to learning and some have adverse childhood experiences.
Outwood Alternative Provision Eston is an innovative alternative provision centre, principally for students from Outwood Academies in the trust’s Northern Region (Tees Valley) who need additional behavioural, social, emotional or mental health support. In line with our absolute commitment to inclusion in its widest sense, this is an alternative provision for vulnerable students who display challenging behaviours and are often at risk of high levels of fixed-period suspensions or permanent exclusion.
We wish to appoint a Hub Coordinator to promote, organise and lead a range of opportunities for our underachieving, disaffected and vulnerable KS3 students. Focusing on raising aspirations, promoting ambition, re-engaging in education, closing gaps in academic performance and ultimately reintegrating back to mainstream education.

Operating much smaller classes than our mainstream academies, this alternative provision focuses on personal development and the health and well being of students, whilst not losing academic rigour. We will focus on ensuring that all students can achieve well and are able to move to their next stage with confidence, be it education, employment or training.
