About Spring Lane School: Spring Lane School is a dynamic and inclusive Secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) located in Bury. Our school caters to students who require additional support and alternative education pathways.

Spring Lane School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Key Stage 3 Teacher to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our students by delivering core curriculum, wellbeing curriculum, and form time for designated Key Stage 3 pupils within the curriculum pathways. As a part of our pupil referral unit, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons across the core curriculum and wellbeing curriculum to Key Stage 3 students.
  • Provide form time support and mentorship to students, fostering a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new curriculum pathways.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive educational experience for all students.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback and support where necessary.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities, particularly in the areas of SEN, trauma-informed practice, and teaching and learning.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 3 students, preferably within a pupil referral unit.
  • Strong understanding of SEN and trauma-informed practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.
