Job overview

KS3 Teacher (SEMH).

Tes is currently supporting a friendly and supportive SEMH school, based in Suffolk. The academy is looking to add a Teacher KS3 to its progressive and supportive school ideally starting ASAP.

The role will include teaching and coordinating the delivery of KS3 including class teaching and some intervention work. You will support the Headteacher to enhance provision and will get the chance to get involved with exciting project work throughout the year. Project work will include revising schemes of work and ensuring the curriculum is engaging to all learners alongside projects that support student attainment, well-being and engagement within the wider school. You’ll also lead by example, supporting learners to achieve to the best of their ability and you’ll enjoy that great feeling when your learners achieve grades beyond their dreams.

"Being a new independent day SEMH School for up to 66 pupils aged 11-19., their dedicated team work together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.

The school site is currently going through significant refurbishment and is based in Suffolk, East Anglia. The Manor House is located on 17 acres of parkland with wooded boundaries and sits on the edge of the village of Wetheringsett. The accommodation also provides several other buildings including a converted stable block, a cottage and two industrial units.

This can be a challenging environment and therefore, determination and resiliency are key characteristics for the post. They are seeking an experienced teacher with an understanding of SEMH and ASC, allowing the successful candidate to immediately form positive relationships and adapt to the needs of the pupils. However, they invest heavily in teacher development and want staff who endeavour to achieve more.  Applications are welcome from teachers with special needs or mainstream backgrounds for this role."

• A super supportive and highly visible SLT team and Headteacher;

• on-going CPD with programmes of study such as NPQML and MA in Educational Leadership

• progression support throughout the school and wider group
