We are seeking to appoint a self‑motivated, enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant to provide high‑quality support to students with a wide range of Special Educational Needs (SEND).
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and other colleagues within the school’s Inclusion Team to ensure that students can access learning effectively. This will involve supporting students in the classroom, delivering one to one sessions and working with small groups as required. The role also includes regular communication with parents, carers and external support networks to ensure that provision is joined up and responsive to individual needs. We are looking for someone who can uphold high expectations, promote independence and help students positively engage with the curriculum.
A key focus of this role is delivering practical personal care for students with physical disabilities, and we are therefore looking for someone with experience in supporting personal hygiene, toileting, eating and drinking, as well as other practical care needs.
This position offers a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about improving life chances for young people. Hyde High School is a bright, busy and supportive environment, where staff and students alike are valued and encouraged to contribute. The role provides professional challenge and reward in equal measure, and requires a proactive, compassionate and committed approach, as well as a willingness to embrace a positive work ethic and strong team spirit.

In the context of our school, this means offering an academically robust curriculum, enhanced by more creative and practically based courses; we believe that the arts, physical education and technical subjects should be promoted as vital facets in the development of well-rounded pupils.
