Central Bedfordshire College is seeking to appoint a Laboratory Assistant.

The role will include ensuring the health and safety of staff and students within the laboratory environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of staff and students within the laboratory environment and the safety of all equipment. The role will also include ensuring chemicals and hazardous materials are stored safely and service, maintain and keep records of the range of departmental equipment,

As a member of the science team you will be supporting the curriculum in all science subjects by assisting teaching staff and students with practical laboratory based tasks.

Central Bedfordshire College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college in Bedfordshire, serving students from the age of 16 and above. The college, situated in Dunstable has over 3,000 learners attend every year. It is in partnership with The University of Bedfordshire and The University of Northampton.

Central Bedfordshire College was established in 1961. It is spread across three campuses – Kingsway, Luton Road and Kingsland Central Bedfordshire. It offers a range of vocational full and part time further education and training programmes from Level 1 to Level 5, along with apprenticeships and adult learning classes. Facilities include a training hair and beauty salon, training restaurant and engineering centre.
