We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled Language Assistant (French and Spanish) to join our MFL department. The core purpose of the post is to contribute to the continuing development of the MFL curriculum and to the overall development of the department. It is expected that the successful candidate will consistently plan and deliver outstanding conversation lessons within the department and work with both AS and A2 levels as directed by the Curriculum Leader and Curriculum Manager. This post includes individual as well as group work, mainly in the development of speaking skills but also in developing departmental resources and materials for the new MFL linear examinations. The successful candidate will need:
•To work within and contribute to an established department framework for lesson planning, delivery and evaluation, as well as student assessment
•To prepare learners for outstanding performance in A level French/ Spanish oral examinations
•To promote understanding of culture and language in French/ Spanish speaking countries
•To possess native level fluency in the target language and expert knowledge of the target language culture
•To undertake duties as directed by the Curriculum Leader
•To work with individual or small groups of learners as directed by the Curriculum Leader.
