At Lynn Grove Academy we want all our young people to develop the skills to function successfully in a globalised environment and we are determined that our languages offered should support this ambition. We are looking for two colleagues to join our expanding modern languages team. This well led and well-resourced department teaches French, German and Spanish and we would love to hear from teachers who can offer any combination of these subjects. You will join a friendly team of 5 teachers and one support member of staff. Our Principal, Alison Mobbs, is a committed linguist and maintains an interest both as a teacher and examiner. You will have access to good schemes of learning and assessment.
Our motto at Lynn Grove is ‘discover what you are good at’ and we support our pupils to do this by offering a broad curriculum and an extensive offer of extra-curricular activities. We offer a wide range of opportunities for our pupils to broaden their horizons through travel and the languages department leads a range of highly successful trips to France, Spain and Germany every year.
Teachers at Lynn Grove rate the professional development opportunities they access highly and value their bespoke CPD pathways and emphasis on subject specific training. We know that working together not only improves results but also reduces workload and our structures support this with a generous weekly allocation of CPD time for all teachers.

Imaginative planning has enabled us to suite subject areas together and to provide extensive social space for our learners during break periods. Lynn Grove is situated between Bradwell and Gorleston, which form part of Great Yarmouth. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and a popular destination for lovers of the outdoors; with the Norfolk Broads National Park in easy reach. The school is very near to the coast where you will find miles and miles of sandy beaches. House prices in the local area remain extremely competitive. The school is situated in a quiet residential area surrounded by extensive playing fields. We are well positioned for very easy access from the delightful city of Norwich or North Suffolk and we have ample parking for all our staff. There are 1050 pupils and the school enjoys an excellent reputation in the local community and beyond.
