This new position is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and practicing Catholic to help guide children in their Catholic faith journey in school. You will split your time between each school supporting the further development of Collective Worship and opportunities for pupils to live out their faith in school.

There are strong links amongst all the schools in the CMAT and by working across multiple schools it is hoped the successful candidate will make these links even stronger and help empower the pupils to explore their faith more and take a leading role in shaping how this is celebrated.

This is a reserved post within a Catholic school and the successful candidate would need to be a practicing Catholic. The Lay Chaplain would work alongside experienced and dedicated staff in each school in animating the Religious Education, Catholic Life and Collective Worship of the schools and would have regular mentor meetings with the Lead Lay Chaplain of the St Ralph Sherwin CMAT to help them flourish in their new role.

There would also be the opportunity to undertake an apprenticeship degree programme with the Diocese of Nottingham in Chaplaincy and youth work with no tuition fee costs to the candidate.

As part of the position, the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi Academy Trust would provide the successful candidate with a range of CPD opportunities to support them on their career path.
