Lead Administrator

Temporary one year contract, in the first instance

Full-time, enhanced term-time only (41 weeks), with pay for 42 weeks

Imperial College London Mathematics School (ICLMS) will open in September 2023. The school will provide a diverse range of young people with access to a unique educational experience. The school will be located adjacent to Woodhouse College. The school will offer A levels in mathematics, further mathematics, physics and chemistry along with additional A level options from the Woodhouse College curriculum.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to contribute to building an exceptional school from opening. The successful candidate will provide personal assistance to the headteacher and deputy headteacher providing administrative support for meetings including room booking, minute taking and distribution of materials and coordinate SLT diaries and meetings. The Lead Administrator will also provide student support such as managing attendance, monitoring registers and contacting parents as well as providing reception duties and all-round administrative support. 

The role will involve a wide range of general administrative tasks necessary for the operation of a school. This is a varied role that will require excellent administration and organisational skills, a positive attitude and plenty of enthusiasm with the ability to work under pressure and use own initiative. Strong MS-Word skills, ICT competency and a good telephone manner are essential.

This role will require a degree of flexibility and will evolve over time as systems and services develop as the school grows. The Lead Administrator will work alongside the Outreach and Admissions Coordinator to support the daily functioning of the school.

The salary will be on the sixth form college support staff salary scale on point 18, currently £29,924 per annum, plus London Weighting, £2,894 per annum which equals £32,818 pro-rata per annum.
