This is an exciting time to join the founding team of a brand-new school, Trinity Academy Leeds, as it continues to grow and develop.  Trinity Academy Leeds opened its doors in September to 240 students from across the city and has already established a strong culture of excellence where all staff are united under the same shared mission, to enrich and strengthen the life choices and chances of the young people in east Leeds and beyond.

Trinity Academy Leeds is part of a wider family of schools, Trinity Multi Academy Trust.  TMAT is proud to have transformed the life chances of thousands of pupils across its existing academies, and our core values of Empathy, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility run through all aspects of academy life.  Our secondary schools consistently achieve academic results which place them in the top 10% of highest performing schools in the country and receive national and international recognition for the quality of their provision.

We are now looking to appoint a Lead Attendance Officer.  This is a unique opportunity to join our academy’s staff team; an opportunity to help shape, design and grow a school ethos and community as it continues its journey.  Our ideal candidate shares our strong moral purpose in ensuring that all young people attend school every day and that all young people should aspire to excellence.  You should be passionate about supporting young people, positive and solution focused with an unrelenting focus on improving lives and supporting young people and their families.  You should work well within a wider team, be an effective communicator and a meticulous record keeper.  A calm disposition, perspective and strong pastoral presence are essentials, as is a secure understanding of safeguarding.

The successful candidate will be well supported through effective leadership and systems in a high performing MAT, an excellent CPD package, and the opportunity to progress as the school and the MAT continue to grow.

What we need?

  • Education to degree level or equivalent relevant experience
  • Experience of successfully working with young people to improve their attendance
  • Experience of leading or managing a team
  • Experience of conflict resolution
  • Knowledge of statutory provisions relating to education welfare and non-attendance
  • Strong inter-personal written, verbal and presentation skills

What can we offer you?

  • The opportunity to work with a progressive and forward thinking, Multi Academy Trust, where you are making the difference to the lives of hundreds of young people.
  • Opportunities for development and career progression.
  • Range of benefits including reduced cost health cover and access to the West Yorkshire Pension Fund.

You must be fully committed to optimising the opportunities that are available to children and young people, secure in the knowledge that you will be joining an ambitious forward-thinking Academy Trust that sets the standards for our family of schools and academies.

Start Date: 1 September 2022

Closing Date: 9am 3 June 2022

About Trinity Academy Leeds

Due to the increased population in Leeds, particularly in young people of school age, there is a shortage of secondary school places which will last for the foreseeable future. To overcome this problem, Leeds City Council  committed to opening a new school in September 2021 and have chosen Trinity Multi Academy Trust as their preferred sponsor.

Trinity MAT is proud to have transformed the life chances of thousands of pupils across its existing academies, and we are equipped and eager to do the same for those in Leeds. Our MAT core values of Empathy, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility run through all aspects of academy life.

We welcome students of all faiths and none, these values relate to everyone regardless of faith or background.

Drawing from the success and expertise of organisations across our high performing MAT, we will ensure that children are supported both academically and pastorally to secure the brightest of futures.

Our secondary schools consistently achieve academic results which place them in the top 10% of highest performing schools in the country and receive national and international recognition for the quality of their provision.

This success will be replicated at Trinity Academy Leeds where every young person will benefit from outstanding teaching and an inspirational curriculum.

Trinity Academy Leeds is a new modern building which initially opened in September 2021 for 240 year 7 students, providing state of the art facilities to match our curriculum and ambition for young people in Leeds.
