Job overview
To lead and manage the work of the BSW team as directed within the agreed system of supervision
To coordinate the work of the BSW team ensuring the needs of pupils are met adequately and they are making good progress.
To direct the time of the BSW team by providing individual timetables to all staff.
To liaise with the Key Stage Leaders, Behaviour Managers, SENCO and the External Provision coordinator to ensure that pupil timetables are personalised to meet the needs of Band 5 pupils and they have access to a broad and balanced curriculum.
In collaboration with key staff ensure all Band 5 students have adequate support across the curriculum.
To oversee the Pupil Action Plans for all Band 5 pupils to ensure that Social, Emotional, Behavioural and Academic development is monitored.
To produce termly reports for the Deputy Headteacher on the pupils Social, Emotional and Behavioural development.
To produce termly reports for the Assistant Headteacher on the academic outcomes for pupils.
To oversee the formal reporting process each term and coordinate Parents Consultation day appointments.
To undertake Line Management responsibilities for the BSW team.
To contribute to the Annual Reviews of pupils to ensure needs are being met and present Oak Bank at other relevant professionals and multi-agency meetings.
To liaise with the Attendance officer to raise attendance figures for Band 5 pupils.
To coordinate a First Response Rota ensuring there are adequate staff available to support staff
To coordinate and develop the use of Internal Isolation.
To ensure the BSW area is a safe, well presented and stimulating environment conducive to learning.
