Job overview

The Governors of Wardle Academy wish to appoint a Lead Cover Supervisor to efficiently, and effectively manage the administration of cover arrangements for absent colleagues, deploying cover and securing supply staff as necessary.    

Experience of SIMS, including elements of the system relating to the cover timetables is desirable. The ability to communicate effectively and manage a small team of Cover Supervisors is an essential element of the role. Further duties include that of the Cover Supervisor, providing support and teaching provision to students in the absence of teaching staff. 

This is an ideal opportunity for a Cover Supervisor to take the next step up in their career, in this busy but rewarding role. We would also welcome applications from experienced Lead Cover Supervisors or former teaching staff.  

You will be joining Wardle Academy at an exciting time as we enter a period of rapid improvement on our way to becoming ‘Outstanding’ in the future.
