Job overview

Our highly respected Educational Psychology Service (EPS) is looking for an experienced, skilled and qualified Educational Psychologist to lead the service, within the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities 0-25 (SEND 0-25) Service.

In addition to meeting our statutory duties, you will also be required to develop our traded service to schools and to demonstrate collaboration and negotiation skills whilst working in partnership across education, health and social care, to contribute to the redesign of services for Solihull’s children and young people with SEND.

Children in Solihull achieve good outcomes and you will play a key role in ensuring that we continue to build on and improve our work with children, young people and families. We believe that Educational Psychology is central to improving outcomes and we are looking for someone who can continue to develop the strong culture of innovation and continual improvement within Solihull’s EPS.

You will have:

  • An Honours degree in Psychology or equivalent, recognised by the British Psychological Society, recognised postgraduate training and a qualification in Educational Psychology.
  • Experience of management and supervision of applied Educational Psychologists
  • HCPC registration
