Trinity Academy Sowerby Bridge joined the Trinity Multi-Academy Trust in October 2018. Working closely with outstanding leaders from across the trust, the academy is characterised by its high aspirations and ambitions. Targeted and effective support systems have been implemented in order to create an environment where our students experience an outstanding education with no limit to what they can achieve. GCSE results for 2018 were a validation of the work we had undertaken to transform the academy and results mean the academy is now recognised as one of the most improved schools in the country. As a result, this is a truly exciting time for the academy.  We are determined to build on our initial success, increasing student numbers and constantly striving to serve our students better.

All of these fantastic and exciting initiatives require the expertise and commitment of dedicated staff and Trinity Academy Sowerby Bridge now wishes to appoint a Lead House Manager. Over the last 12 months we have invested heavily in our pastoral team, which now includes the following positions:

• Senior Leader with responsibility for pastoral care

• Education Welfare Officer

• Attendance Officer

• Family Intervention Worker

• Child Protection Officer

• House and Deputy House Managers

All the above positions are non-teaching, demonstrating our commitment to dedicate our pastoral staff to pastoral issues.

We are now seeking a motivated Lead House Manager to guide and support our team of House Managers in raising the aspirations, self-esteem and attendance of students.

What can we offer you?

• Full support from a dedicated team of senior leaders and a large pastoral team

• A first class behaviour for learning system

The Trinity MAT were first approached to work with the then Sowerby Bridge High School, when it had been graded as inadequate by Ofsted and had been ranked in the bottom 15% of all schools nationally.

In September 2021 we will be adopting the new name of Trinity Academy Grammar to better communicate our identity, high standards and aspirations for our students. We have chosen a name which truly reflects our grammar school heritage, and to better showcase our core values of Empathy, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility, as we continue to build on this legacy through our outstanding achievements and passion to help our students reach their full potential.

It is a very exciting time to be considering joining Trinity Academy Grammar.  We can offer candidates the opportunity to work in partnership with the Principal and the senior leadership team, teachers in the school and other professionals across the trust (including the Teaching School and West Yorkshire Maths Hub).

The working environment is supported by committed, hardworking and supportive colleagues who are focused on improving outcomes for our students. Comprehensive pastoral systems are embedded to ensure the behaviour of students is outstanding and they are happy and supported in their learning.

As an academy we have high expectations of staff, we expect staff to challenge our students and themselves. We set high standards and aim to display these in all that we do.
