Tendring Technology College (TTC) is a community where inspirational teaching, self-evaluation and self-improvement are evident from the moment you enter the College.  We are proud to serve the communities around Frinton-on-Sea and Thorpe-le-Soken as an
11-18 school which has two campuses; Frinton Campus (14-18) and Thorpe Campus
(11-14).  Ofsted judged us as a ‘good academy’ in March 2016.

Are you passionate about enabling children of all abilities and backgrounds to achieve their very best?  Are you flexible, organised, meticulous and creative in your approach and have experience of direct work with children and adults, including supporting children who may be vulnerable?  Are you a quick learner and have excellent communication skills?  Do you have the ability to work under your own initiative or as part of a team?  If so, then this could be the job for you!

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed individual to join our dynamic and forward thinking team in a new role as Lead Inclusion Mentor.  Working under the line management of the Head of Campus, in partnership with the learning teams and faculty leaders, you will be involved with the establishment and then the day-to-day running of our Inclusion Unit which will provide education and support for students who are removed from their mainstream lessons.  You will work with the Assistant Inclusion Mentor to develop and deliver bespoke intervention programmes and to monitor and support students when they return to mainstream lessons.

We encourage visits from prospective candidates to meet members of our school community and to experience out school at first hand.  If you would like to do this please contact Julia McFarlane at the College on 01255 682040.

As the sponsor, the AET believes that all young people deserve to become world-class learners – to learn, enjoy, succeed and thrive in a first rate educational environment with the best facilities, the best teaching and the most up-to-date resources available to them.  In each of the AET academies, you will benefit from visionary, inspirational and dynamic leadership and be empowered to develop your own skills with access to world-class CPD and Talent Management programmes.  You will also be offered membership of a private health cash plan, the Ford Advantage Scheme and be entitled to Childcare Vouchers.

About Tendring Technology College

Tendring Technology College is a large split site comprehensive school for students aged 11-18, located in the pleasant village of Thorpe-le-Soken and the historic town of Frinton-on-Sea. The mix of this rural and coastal location is a lovely backdrop for our young people and at the same time there is easy access to Colchester, the oldest recorded town in the country, and the capital itself, London.

Thorpe Campus is situated in the village of Thorpe-le-Soken. It serves students aged 11-14. Our Frinton Campus serves the needs of students aged 14-19. We take children from a large area surrounding the College. This includes Thorpe-le-Soken, Kirby-le-Soken, Kirby Cross, Great Holland, Little Clacton, Weeley, Tendring, Little Bentley, Wix, Beaumont, Great Oakley, Frinton-on-Sea, Walton-on-the-Naze as well as a number of students who travel from much further afield including Harwich, Alresford and Colchester.

Tendring Technology College is an academy and it converted in August 2011. The school was judged to be ‘inadequate’ following an Ofsted inspection in November. The outcome was ‘serious weaknesses’ rather than ‘special measures’ in recognition of the fact that the trust and school leaders were taking the right actions to improve the school and had effective capacity to do so.
