Lead Learner: FS2 / KS1

Teachers’ Main / Upper Pay Scale plus TLR2a (£2,665pa)

Commencing September 2018

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and committed professional who believes all children can achieve high standards and who wants to be part of the development of an exceptional learning community. We are committed to providing our children with an exciting and stimulating learning environment and wish to appoint an excellent practitioner who shares our ambition for the academy and possesses drive and enthusiasm.

The Lead Learner will be responsible for raising standards in FS2 and KS1, modelling outstanding practice, leading CPD, organising and leading intervention programmes and contributing to the academy’s monitoring and evaluation schedule.

The successful candidate will initially teach an FS2 class, and therefore will be a highly effective teacher with a proven track record in Foundation Stage.

Visits to the academy are warmly encouraged during the recruitment process; please contact Melanie Denton on 0114 287 2171 to arrange.

Please visit www.aughtonacademy.org for further details and an application pack. Completed applications should be returned by email to vacancies@astoncetrust.org. The closing date for applications is 9.00am on 23rd April 2018.

We undertake to make any ‘reasonable adjustments’ to a job or workplace to counteract any disadvantages a disabled person may face. This post involves working with children and therefore if successful, you will be required to apply for a disclosure and barring services check at an enhanced level. Further information about the Disclosure Scheme can be found at www.homeoffice.gov.uk/dbs

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Please note if you have not received a reply within three weeks, your application has been unsuccessful.
