Salary: Scale 6/SO1 FTE £32,395 - £36,599 PRO RATA £27,739.81 - £31,339.69

Working Pattern: Term time only, permanent

The Skills Hub is a Trauma Informed co-educational Alternative Provision for pupils in the London Borough of Hillingdon who cannot attend mainstream school for a variety of reasons. It currently offers places to pupils aged 11-16, many of whom have been, or are at risk of, permanent exclusion.

It is an exciting time for The Skills Hub we have recently moved into our brand new purpose-built site in the 2022-23 academic year and will expand its intake to 120 pupils aged from 5 to 19. The new Free School will offer extensive dedicated facilities for our primary provision as well as state of the art, science labs and sports facilities.

The ideal candidate

To complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or short term for whole classes and monitoring students and assessing, recording, and reporting on students' achievement, progress, and development whilst promoting compassion approach trauma informed practices.

Responsible for the management and development of learning support assistants including allocation and monitoring of work, appraisal, and training. LSAs will be responsible for implementing academic targets in liaison with the class teachers and the SENCo.
