Job overview
Want to inspire learners in all things digital?
Here at Halesowen college, we have invested in state-of-the-art facilities for the forthcoming academic year. In September 2021 we opened a brand-new Cyber Security and Networking Laboratory where learners will be able to use their knowledge to prevent IT systems from attack, a high specification Esports facility where learners will begin a career path in to a multibillion-pound industry alongside engaging in the British Esports league for Team Halestrom and our VR and AR Labs.
We have an amazing opportunity for an exceptional digital lecturer to join the team and help be part of a diverse department. We would like to recruit someone who can inspire, whether from an industry or educational background. As a lecturer within the department, you will have the opportunity to deliver skills which include Esports Ecosystems, Esports Events, Live Streamed Broadcasting, Shout-casting, and Video Production. Within digital, you could also deliver on topics such as augmented reality, virtual reality, cyber security, ethical hacking, networking, software development, data analytics, IoT, and hardware.
As an inspirational lecturer, your excellent communication and teaching skills will enable us to support the needs of our region and enable us to become instrumental in the development of the digital skills required to make the West Midlands the heart of the digital world.

The very good range of courses includes an increasing amount of relevant vocational courses and Train to Gain provision.
