We are seeking to appoint an outstanding practitioner with a proven track record of leading Learning and Teaching including an expertise at KS5 and be a role-model to others. You will believe in the power of coaching founded in the belief that all of our colleagues have the ability to improve and be the very best they can be. You will have experience of developing best practice and pedagogy in others to ensure the best outcomes for young people. You will lead Biology in the first instance covering a maternity leave; we will train you as an SLE, introducing you to school to school practices. You will join the Teaching School team, collaboratively leading our Cradle-to Grave Professional Learning programme; leading a specific area of this programme as well as collaboration with other areas. We are looking for an energetic leader, a creative well-qualified teacher with a successful track record who will also inspire our students on our primary campus to be the scientists of tomorrow!

The successful candidate will join a science department with a large team of teachers who are passionate about engaging and inspiring young scientists in their learning and committed to raising standards of attainment across the whole ability range.

We have high expectations of all our staff; we offer a superb opportunity for the right person to develop their teaching and leadership skills in a successful school that will provide great support with lovely students and highly professional colleagues.

Seven Kings School is an all through school with the Primary up to Y4 as of 2019; the secondary school is an 11-18 mixed, multi-cultural comprehensive school. We are a Teaching School and have been awarded World Class status. Our last Ofsted inspection in September 2018 described the school as an exceptional environment in which all pupils thrive and outstanding in all categories.

About Seven Kings School

Seven Kings School is a mixed maintained all through school in  Ilford, serving pupils from the ages of 4 to 18. The school is situated  in the London Borough of Redbridge. Seven Kings has approximately 2000  students and is a community school maintained by Redbridge Borough  Council. 

The primary school opened in 2015, with all pupils automatically  entitled to move to the secondary.  In 2018, Seven Kings school was  identified by Ofsted as one of the outstanding schools serving  disadvantaged communities.
