Are you a current or Aspiring Lead Practitioner looking for a new role within a rapidly developing new school and interested in becoming a part of what is possibly the most exciting change in the education landscape in decades? 

UTC Oxfordshire is currently looking to appoint an additional innovative, dynamic and passionate teacher to lead and support innovation and develop Engineering within the UTC.  

The successful applicant will join the UTC as it grows and develops into its third year. The two current post-holders have taken on additional roles in our expanding Leadership team. It is expected that the successful applicant will be ready to have a whole school impact aspiring to senior leadership and beyond.    

UTC Oxfordshire opened in September 2015 in Didcot. It admits up to 600 boys and girls aged 14 to 19 living in the catchment area. UTC specialises in sciences and engineering, alongside a broad and balanced curriculum. We benefit from the support of local employers and three leading universities who enrich and enhance our unique curriculum offer. After a successful opening phase, we are currently oversubscribed. 

UTC Oxfordshire is centrally located with excellent transport links close by.

The successful candidate will need to:  

· Be an outstanding classroom practioner 

· Have excellent communication and leadership skills 

· Develop areas of our existing engineering offer to ensure improved progression from Ks4 to Ks5. 

· Provide support to colleagues as part of our successful coaching programme.  

· Demonstrated whole school impact in their current role which has a positive impact upon students’ lives and destinations.  

· Be ready to embrace the challenge of a new school and the opportunities that exist.

UTC Oxfordshire is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form, serving students from the age of 14-19. Situated in Harwell near Didcot the UTC has a maximum capacity of 600 students. It is part of the Active Learning Education Trust and works with industry partners: BMW Mini, UK Atomic Energy Authority, Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), RM Education, Reaction Engines and Bloodhound SSC and Academic Partners: Oxford Brookes University,  Royal Holloway (University of London) and Reading University.

UTC Oxfordshire opened in 2015 and allows for students to specialise in either science or engineering.
