Are you looking for the opportunity to move into a new and important leadership role; one in which your talents as an English Teacher and a leadership Coach can be fully realised?  We are keen to recruit a “Lead Practitioner for English” who will be an excellent teacher and someone who can share their passion for English teaching with colleagues.  You will be someone with the ability to engage and inspire our students, and to support colleagues.  You will be a creative and innovative teacher who enjoys sharing their ideas with others and who has a passion for English teaching.  You will need to demonstrate a commitment to sustaining academic excellence, helping every child succeed and the potential to be an excellent classroom practitioner.

This is an exciting time to join King James I Academy as we continue on our journey to excellence and work together in our state-of-the-art brand new buildings.  This specific role requires the post-holder to support the development of innovative teaching and learning within the department; with a specific focus upon promoting active and engaging teaching strategies.  

In return for your commitment we will support your induction through a bespoke, individually tailored induction programme and we will make a commitment to support your continued career development.  You would benefit from our “Steps to Leadership Programme” which will support your rapid career progression and which will allow you to gain middle leadership experience and which will support your rapid progression to a senior leadership post within five years.
