About the role
We are looking for an experienced, outstanding teacher to work as a lead practitioner for MFL with academies across the Trust. The overall purpose of the role is to provide support to our leaders and teachers to ensure all our academies achieve the same successes. As a key part of the school improvement team, you will use your subject knowledge, passion, and expertise to drive forward the quality of the curriculum and teaching and learning.
In this role, you will lead on and drive curriculum development, teacher/leader development and collaboration and enrichment across your subject and in conjunction with your senior lead practitioner. It is important you still maintain a desire to teach, as you will support groups of teachers to model excellent practice. We are ideally looking for someone with a specialism in Spanish,, as please note the majority of our academies teacher French and/or Spanish. Please note as part of the shortlisting process you are required to submit what you consider to be an ambitious MFL curriculum at KS3, based on pupils having two lessons a week over three years. There is no set format for how you present this, but ideally it will be clear to the person shortlisting the content that is to be covered.
